When my sister asked me if I'd seen the changes around DA, I just shrugged, thinking, "Great, they've changed our profiles again. Nothing serious, just moving things around again." Was I in for a surprise or what?
Apparently, it's essential for everyone to be a subsciber- I mean, Premium Member! Look DA, I don't want a subscription. I'm happy the way I am, as a deviant. But what is that thing on my page? It says "Needs premium membership." Um, shouldn't that be optional?? Like I said, I'm happy the way I am.
As the link above says, it makes the "premium members" seem like Gods. Really, read it. I'm not even kidding.
I'm upset about this. I don't like it. I really don't. And, to make it even clearer, I don't like this change, DeviantART. I don't like it. And I'm not the only one.
Now some of you might say that it's no big deal! Well, you're wrong. It is a big deal.

Oh, then I scroll down to submit this journal. What does it say, everyone?
That's right, (quote unquote) *Get Premium Membership to enable Journal Skins!
Yeah, I know, it's been there for a while. I just never payed any attention to it. I'm not against special priveleges for those who pay for them. Just that I don't want all these little things hanging around and distracting me from what I'm trying to do. Let me repeat: I don't want a 'remium Membership.' I'm fine as a Deviant. I am not, however, fine with being labeled as "Needing Premium Membership."

I like the community feeling on DA. Let's keep that as best we can and try not to make one person better than the other, shall we?
